In the depths of the dry season in Northern Australia I took my family to the sea, to the sea where I grew up, to the sea that holds so many of my memories. A gentle fire crept through the landscape warming the sand and burning the grass but leaving everything undamaged around it. The ground was warm to the touch as I walked across the ash to make this image.
