This piece was made when the low grass was still green and the evenings were still cool. There was so much dew this day that we struggled to keep the fire burning, it went out all on it's own.
I enjoy the abstraction in this piece, the reference that we are all slowly turning into ashes and dust in our own way, until we disappear into atoms in the end.
I also seem to be drawn over and over again to the links between ‘witches', the women with knowledge and connection and how fire repeats in those stories too, creation flames and flames that caused deaths. Like the cycle of the wild lived out by women over centuries.
All prints are custom printed in Australia on 310 gsm cotton rag.
All works are signed and are limited edition of just 10.
