100% Cotton Woven Throw

$180.00

This blanket is not just something to wrap around you—it’s something to be held by.

Woven from 100% cotton yarn, this throw-sized piece carries a story from the wild northern edges of Australia. The design was created using a flatbed scanner, gathering found fragments of life—mushrooms, cicadas, bones, wings, and seed pods—offered by the bush after rain. At its heart lies a Northern Australian toadstool, discovered with my sons during the wet season. That moment—the humid air, the quiet, the sense of something ancient stirring—has been captured here in stunning detail.

Whether you choose to feature a photo or a piece of graphic art, these woven blankets elevate images into lasting, quality heirlooms. Put them up on the wall as a cozy display, or wrap yourself in one on the couch. Each blanket features a colorful fringed edge that extends the artwork into the tactile world—making the invisible stories of nature something you can literally hold.

This is the first in a series of 12 works exploring life, death, and the wild natural world. Scanned using an aging device I found in my late father’s home, each image becomes a relic—preserved in thread, rich in texture, and resonant with meaning.

Product Details:

  • Material: 100% Cotton

  • Woven threads (not printed)

  • Colourful fringed edges

  • Durable and washable?

Note: Shipping is calculated at checkout.
